I am a frequent user of LinkedIn (my profile is here... go ahead, link in.. I'd be honored) and recently asked folks there this question:

Have you ever been on the receiving end of a bad software demo, especially on the web? What has the presenter done to lose the business?

I spent some time recently talking to Cameron Reilly, host of the top-rated podcast in Australia- G'day World. We chat about the creation of Greatwebmeetings, why Second Life will probably never catch on in business (my opinion not his, but he's an uber-geek)

Others are out there, and we'll help you find them. We don't care who they belong to, we just want to help. One such tool is Webinar Wire. This site, run by Ken Molay, It's good stuff and you'll find isight from Ken and other experts in the field.

As a small business owner, I am a regular reader of INC. Magazine, and a big fan of Joel Sposky's "How Hard Can it Be?" column. In the December 2007 issue, he wrote about putting on road shows around the world for his company (Fog Creek Software), and broke down the costs. In some ways, it makes the case for doing web meetings instead- if they're done right.
